Dr. Lee Errett is the first Professor of Global Surgery at the University of Toronto and the President of the Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to advancing cardiac surgery in areas of research, innovation, and clinical care. With regards to his eﬀorts abroad, Dr. Errett has taught, mentored, and performed cardiac surgery in all six continents. He was also the recipient of the 2006 Norman Bethune Award for his work in restructuring surgical training programs in China.
