Abstract

Over the past two decades opioid prescriptions and opioid-related deaths have been on the rise in Ontario. With a diversifying population of opioid users it is becoming more difficult to manage the increasing number of patients with opioid dependence. Herein, we aim to provide information for future physicians on available management options in Ontario as well as key steps to help tackle this difficult challenge.
